First Entry
Greetings all! I started a 52DC a couple of years ago, but the effort petered out after a couple of weeks. I don’t recall having the great spreadsheet that is available now, and as I recall, I was travelling a lot. A bunch of lame excuses, I know.
This go-around, I am going to immerse myself in the process and force myself through that 2 or 3 week period where I usually tend to abandon fitness/diet programs. I am trying to approach this more as a life-style change this time.
It is my intention to post to the daily 52dc message threads, and to keep the excel spreadsheet current. But also, this blog idea, which is a new concept to me from the author perspective, might be kind of an interesting way to approach the process. Not that I would expect anyone to be all that interested in my personal situation, but I think there may be something to the idea of putting one’s thoughts down in print. Maybe it’s that it generates a sense of accountability for my actions…..or inactions.
If I make myself honestly record what I am doing to improve my fitness and diet, and hold it up for others to see and comment on, it may actually provide that extra little motivation to succeed that has evidently been missing in my past efforts.
I think this community of men and women in this forum is extraordinary in their support for each other, and I hope to become a valuable, contributing member. So, all that being said….here I am.
